Eleanor Coppola's 'Making Marie Antoinette,' an 86-minute documentary on Sofia Coppola filming her 2006 $40 million 'Marie Antoinette,' premiered at the 53rd Telluride Film Festival on 5 September 2026 (The Hollywood Reporter). Eleanor, who directed, shot 80 hours of behind-the-scenes footage in 2006. She died in 2024; Sofia finished the film as a tribute. MUBi, which acquired worldwide rights in July (Variety), releases it theatrically on 23 October 2026, with streaming to follow (IndieWire).
