Affordable-luxury brands claim nearly three-quarters of department-store women's fashion
The International Association of Department Stores, whose members run 563-plus stores across 32 countries, reports that contemporary, high-street and advanced-contemporary brands together make up nearly 74 percent of women's fashion sales on department-store floors. Best sellers include Sandro, Maje, Max Mara and Self-Portrait. El Palacio de Hierro in Mexico has already shifted its open-to-buy toward the segment.
