Eby pushes Carney to weaponize F-35 deal and U.S. coal shipments in trade fight

After U.S. trade talks failed and 50 per cent tariffs struck $28 billion in Canadian goods, B.C. Premier David Eby wants Ottawa to hit back harder. He's urging Carney to revisit the $12-billion F-35 purchase and accelerate phasing out American thermal coal through a Metro Vancouver port. Matching Canadian tariffs begin Sept. 8.
