Garmin fēnix 9 Pro builds satellite messaging into the watch

Garmin's fēnix 9 Pro, announced August 25, embeds inReach two-way satellite messaging directly into the smartwatch — a first for the fēnix line, eliminating the need for a separate satellite communicator. The capability requires a $100 hardware add-on and a $7.99 monthly subscription. All three Pro sizes (43mm, 47mm, 51mm) support it. Orders open August 28.
