Southport attacker moved to secure hospital near anniversary of killings

Axel Rudakubana, jailed for life for murdering three children in Southport in July 2024, has been moved from prison to Broadmoor — a tightly guarded hospital for people with serious mental health problems. Families learned within 48 hours of 24 July 2026 and accused him of "manipulating the system" days before the attack's second anniversary. His sentence is unchanged.
