Prison early release plan stopped for review

Andy Burnham has stopped a plan to release prisoners early in September, the BBC reported. No one will be freed until a review checks it is safe. The plan lets prisoners out after serving half their sentence, to ease crowding in England and Wales jails. Burnham is working with the new justice secretary on the review.
