Hackers accessed Origin Energy customer information

Hackers broke into Origin Energy and stole customers' names, addresses, birth dates, phone numbers, and account details. They also got partial bank or card numbers — too incomplete to make purchases. Origin has not said how many of its 4.8 million Australian accounts were hit. Three federal agencies are investigating.
