CVS Health Plans to Split Into Two Companies

CVS Health announced on November 4, 2026 plans to split into two companies. One would run its retail pharmacies. The other would keep the insurance side, including the unit that manages prescription drug plans. The company says it would create "two distinct leaders in healthcare." The separation is targeted for early 2028. Until then, the current setup remains.
