CVS Health Announces Plan to Split Retail Pharmacy From Insurance Arm

CVS Health announced on November 4, 2026 its intent to split into two companies, separating retail pharmacies from insurance and pharmacy-benefit businesses. The company says the move would create "two distinct leaders in healthcare." The separation is targeted for early 2028. Until then, the current structure remains in place.
