Satlyt's Space Computing Test Used Only One Real Computer

Satlyt tested software that splits computing jobs among several computers in early October 2026. The test ran with the University of Houston, under a NASA-funded project. Only one of the four computers was real, on a satellite in orbit. The other three were computer simulations. Results were sent to Earth. NASA has not chosen Satlyt for any mission.
