Rivian Buys UK AI Startup Third Dimension

Rivian has bought Third Dimension, a UK startup founded in 2024. Its AI turns photos and videos into lifelike 3D worlds. Terms were undisclosed. Its 15 staff, mostly in the UK, will join Rivian's self-driving and AI team led by James Philbin. Rivian plans to use the technology to speed up driver-assistance and robotaxi development, where cars drive themselves as taxis.
