Robot Startup Mind Robotics Hires Veteran Car Executive as President

Doug Field, former Ford electric-vehicle chief, will become president of Mind Robotics, announced October 13, 2026 at Disrupt 2026. He will oversee daily products, engineering and operations. Mind Robotics, started inside Rivian, makes factory robots guided by broad AI brains. Rivian is its first customer. Field previously led Apple's Project Titan car effort and Tesla Model 3 work.
