Joni Mitchell confirms dual U.S.-Canadian citizenship

Joni Mitchell has formalised dual Canadian and U.S. citizenship, she confirmed in an Instagram post on Oct. 13. The post showed her taking the oath as a crowd applauded, captioned "A journey that began 62 years ago." The Canadian-born songwriter first settled in the U.S. in Detroit in the mid-1960s and lives in Santa Barbara.
