Who will run BBC News? Rachel Jupp

Rachel Jupp will run BBC News and Current Affairs, taking over from Deborah Turness almost a year after Turness quit. Jupp used to edit Panorama and lead documentaries. She starts almost right away in October 2026. She faces likely job cuts, a fight over pay, and disagreement about online plans. Her choices will shape BBC News.
