
Delhi Court Frees Party Leaders After Denied Protest Permit
A Delhi executive court, which handles public-order cases, ordered Oct. 11 the release of Cockroach Janta Party founder Abhijeet Dipke and associates Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka after nearly 24 hours in detention. They were held on arrival in Delhi Oct. 10, after police denied permission for a Jantar Mantar protest seeking Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar's resignation.
