Northern Lights Glow Far South Across the UK

The Northern Lights — colourful sky glows like curtains of light — spread across the UK on 9 and 10 October, seen as far south as Devon, Hampshire and Kent. That is farther south than Scotland and northern England, where the Met Office says they are usually seen. Photos showed them over Kendal, Cumbria.
