US Takes Myanmar Tycoon's Daughter Off Penalty List

The US on Oct. 9 took Theint Win Htet off its sanctions list, which freezes money and bans US business. Her father Thein Win Zaw's Shwe Byain Phyu Group was punished in January 2024 because Treasury says it sold fuel to Myanmar's army. She says she has no job there. Her lawyer asked to end her lawsuit after the removal.
