Will a military execution be shown live?

Vice President JD Vance said Oct. 9 he doubts military plans to show Nidal Hasan's execution live, and he would not watch. Defense chief Pete Hegseth said the Dec. 3 execution by shooting — at the base where Hasan killed 13 soldiers in 2009 — would be broadcast. It would be the first U.S. military execution in over 60 years.
