National would require Year 11 completion if re-elected

National would keep students at school until they finish Year 11 if re-elected, education spokesperson Erica Stanford said on 10 October. Students can now leave at 16, often part-way through Year 11. The plan would require Year 11 English, maths and science, with exemptions for work or training.
