Liberal Democrat money spokesman quits and says leader should go

Charlie Maynard, the Liberal Democrat MP for Witney — the area's elected representative in Parliament — has quit as the party's spokesman on money and tax. The BBC said he left on Friday and wants leader Sir Ed Davey to go. Sir Ed has led for six years and won 72 seats in Parliament at the 2024 national election.
