Lib Dem Treasury spokesman quits and urges Davey to go

Charlie Maynard, Liberal Democrat MP for Witney, has resigned as Treasury spokesman, the party's voice on the economy. The BBC said he quit on Friday and wants Sir Ed Davey replaced as leader. Sir Ed has led for six years and won 72 seats at the 2024 general election.
