Camera company Flock Safety lays off 270 workers amid privacy concerns

Flock Safety is laying off 18% of its staff, about 270 people, through a voluntary exit offer across the company, with last days at the end of October. Spokesperson Paris Lewbel said the move sets up future growth. It follows public concern over its 100,000-plus street cameras that photograph license plates and track people's movements.
