Hargitay says SVU premiere predated Cornell headlines

Mariska Hargitay told The Hollywood Reporter Law & Order: SVU's “Volition” was written and shot in July, before the Cornell Chi Phi allegation reached national headlines in September. The Hollywood Reporter reports the Oct. 9 premiere centres on Emily's report of rape after passing out drunk. Hargitay said she had long wanted to highlight New York's voluntary intoxication loophole.
