Amazon Is Changing Fire Tablets to Alexa Tablets

Amazon will drop the Fire tablet name for Alexa Tablets, devices leader Panos Panay told Bloomberg. The new tablets use Google's Android system, rather than Amazon's own Fire system, and can download apps from Google's full app shop. On old Fire tablets, Gmail, YouTube, Drive and other Google services only worked through the web browser.
