Woman Is Walking After Surviving Execution Attempt

Christa Pike, 50, is up and walking in a hospital after living through Tennessee's Sept. 30 attempt to execute her with two doses of pentobarbital, a powerful drug meant to cause death, lawyer Stephen Ferrell said Oct. 8. Carried out unconscious but alive from the execution room, she is still mentally foggy with badly hurt arms.
