Forecast: Democrats expected to win control of the House

The Cook Political Report, which tracks elections, said Sept. 25 it shifted 15 House contests toward Democrats this September. It said Democrats are set to gain five to 15 seats, for 220 to 230 total in 2027. That would give Democrats more than half, enough to take control from Republicans.
