Cook projects Democrats to win House with 5 to 15-seat gain

The Cook Political Report said Sept. 25 that it moved 15 House race ratings, rankings of which party is favored, toward Democrats. It projected Democrats will gain five to 15 seats, reaching 220 to 230 seats in 2027. Cook said Republicans are on track to lose the House majority.
