Edinburgh Doctors Try Frozen Tissue to Bring Back Sperm

NHS Lothian doctors in Edinburgh put frozen testicle tissue that makes sperm back into a 19-year-old student in August, the first operation in the UK and second reported worldwide. It was frozen in 2023 before chemotherapy, strong drugs, and a bone-marrow treatment for a serious blood illness left him with no sperm. Doctors will know within months if sperm return.
