Borneo Communities Sue Over Harmful Wildfire Smoke

Native communities and citizen groups in Indonesian Borneo are suing the government together as one large group, saying leaders seriously failed to stop yearly wildfires that blew harmful smoke across Southeast Asia. Filed in September 2026 against President Prabowo Subianto and nine others, the case asks for medical bills and cleanup funds.
