Storm Isaias Could Hit U.S. Coast by Friday

A storm called Isaias could reach the U.S. Gulf Coast as a much stronger storm by Friday evening. It formed early Wednesday off eastern Mexico from a weaker system called Tropical Depression Nine. With 40-mph winds, it could become the season's first hurricane — a fast-spinning, damaging storm — by Thursday. Mississippi to Florida are on alert for hurricanes.
