FCC to Vote Oct. 29 on 25 MHz Auction for Mobile and Satellite-to-Phone Use

The Federal Communications Commission will vote Oct. 29 on advancing a proposed auction of 25 MHz across the 1675-1695 MHz and 2020-2025 MHz bands for ground-based mobile networks, direct satellite-to-phone links, or a mix of both. A yes vote only opens further work on rules and band design, not the final auction.
