Finland tells Google to pause building until nature checks are done

Google must pause early building work in Muhos and Kajaani by 23 October until it finishes checks on possible harm to nature and local life. Finland's licensing agency says the work — cutting trees, scraping off topsoil, building roads — for part of a €13bn computer-storage project cannot continue, or Google will face further punishment and fines.
