
Conservatives promise up to £10bn for Britannia Shield
The Conservatives said they would spend up to £10bn over ten years on Britannia Shield, a shield, like an umbrella, to shoot down missiles and drones, if they win the next election. The party said James Cartlidge, its shadow defence secretary, will explain the plan at its conference in Birmingham on Tuesday.
