Conservatives pledge up to £10bn for "Britannia Shield" defence system

The Conservatives have pledged to spend up to £10bn over a decade on "Britannia Shield", a missile and drone defence system, if they win the next election. The party said shadow defence secretary James Cartlidge will announce the plan at its conference in Birmingham on Tuesday.
