
American warplanes go home from Gloucestershire base
The Pentagon, America's defence department, said it has brought its large B-1 bombers home from RAF Fairford in Gloucestershire. About twelve are thought to have left. Downing Street said the base is safe. It would not comment on 'foreign nations' military operations'. It was described as a normal military decision.
