
Ethiopia and Eritrea Stop Talking to Each Other
Ethiopia and Eritrea have stopped talking officially. Ethiopia said it will shut its embassy — its main government office — in Eritrea's capital, Asmara, and told 10 Eritrean representatives to leave within 48 hours, saying they threatened its safety. Eritrea called that "astounding" and said Oct. 1 it was cutting all ties back, closing direct contact.
