Trump Wants to Give U.S. Human Rights Money to Far-Right Groups

The Trump administration wants to take over $175m from the State Department’s main human rights fund and give it to far-right groups. One $1m Brazil project, titled 'Countering lawfare and censorship in Brazil,' would back local groups criticizing Brazil’s top court for overstepping its power and silencing critics, using aid to pressure an ally’s judges.
