California rejects ban on secret smart glasses filming

California Gov. Gavin Newsom rejected Senate Bill 1130, the Wearable Device Privacy Protection Act, which would have made California the first state to ban secretly filming people with smart glasses, everyday glasses with tiny cameras inside. Newsom said the wording covered too many devices and state law already offers those protections.
