Saudi Leader Says He Will Defend Country Against Attacks

Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman said Sept. 30, 2026, his country will protect its safety against attacks by the Houthis. Speaking for his father, King Salman, to the Shura Council, the country's advisory meeting, he said Saudi Arabia would answer any attack strongly but still wants calmer relations. He said the Houthis chose "chaos and destruction."
