U.S. Quits International Group That Fights Corruption

The Trump administration told GRECO on Monday the United States is leaving. The U.S. joined in 2000 the watchdog based in Strasbourg, France. Started in 1999, it grades how countries curb bribery and abuse of power, like a report card. The Council of Europe called the U.S. a 'valuable contributor' and said it can rejoin cooperation later.
