MP urges English players to reconsider Afghanistan league

Labour MP Tonia Antoniazzi told BBC Sport English players considering the Afghanistan Premier League should think of their “daughters, sisters or mothers”, citing the Taliban's treatment of women and girls. She hopes the ICC refuses to sanction, or formally approve, the UAE T20 event. Seven Englishmen have registered for the October draft before the planned 27 December start.
