Trump Administration Withdraws U.S. from GRECO Anti-Corruption Body

The Trump administration formally notified Strasbourg-based GRECO on Monday that the United States was leaving. Washington had participated since 2000 in the body, established in 1999 to monitor members' anti-corruption standards. The Council of Europe called the U.S. a "valuable contributor" and said GRECO remains open to resuming cooperation.
