U.S. Leaves GRECO Anti-Corruption Monitor

The Trump administration notified GRECO on Monday that the United States is leaving. Washington had joined the Strasbourg-based monitoring body in 2000. GRECO was created in 1999 to review members' anti-corruption standards. The Council of Europe called the U.S. a 'valuable contributor' and said GRECO remains open to renewed cooperation.
