Charter Space Raises $5 Million to Insure Satellites and Rockets

Charter Space, an El Segundo company led by founder Yuk Chi Chan, raised $5 million in early funding led by Crystal Venture Partners to grow its insurance for satellites and rockets. QED, Blank Ventures, Hustle Fund and Gaingels joined in. After opening its U.S.-wide licensed insurance shop in May, it says it works with over 50 space and defense companies.
