Charter Space Raises $5M to Grow Space Insurance Business

El Segundo-based Charter Space raised $5 million in seed funding led by Crystal Venture Partners to grow its space insurance business. QED, Blank Ventures, Hustle Fund and Gaingels participated. Founder Yuk Chi Chan leads the company, which launched its nationally licensed brokerage, its regulated insurance marketplace, in May and says it serves over 50 space and defense firms.
