Russian Attacks Shut Down Ukraine's Steel Factories

Ukraine is no longer making new steel after Russia hit four big steel factories with fast, hard-to-stop missiles in September. Metinvest official Oleksandr Myronenko says Russia has targeted all steel factories since August. Before 2022, steel and mining made about 10% of Ukraine's total income and a third of goods sold abroad; he says that is now near zero.
