Altman Says OpenAI Stock Debut Waits on Proof Its AI Is Safe

OpenAI will not go public until it can show its AI models are safe, CEO Sam Altman said Tuesday. Speaking in a Q&A after his DevDay keynote in San Francisco, he gave no firm timeline for an IPO, or first public stock sale. He added that waiting too long to list would be bad for the world.
