Ottawa to give Alberta-to-B.C. pipeline national priority by Oct. 1

Energy Minister Tim Hodgson says Ottawa is on track to call the planned Alberta-to-B.C. oil pipeline a project of national interest by Oct. 1. He told The Globe and Mail the Calgary-based Major Projects Office, which handles approvals for large projects, is finishing steps under the Building Canada Act, the law for fast-tracking them. It would keep a May promise.
