Ottawa on track to name West Coast pipeline a national-interest project by Oct. 1

Energy Minister Tim Hodgson says Ottawa is on track to designate the proposed Alberta-to-B.C. oil pipeline as a project of national interest by Oct. 1. He told The Globe and Mail the Calgary-based Major Projects Office is completing steps under the Building Canada Act. The designation would meet a commitment made in May.
