OpenAI Seeks $30 Billion Before Selling Shares to Public

OpenAI is discussing raising at least $30 billion, Bloomberg reported September 29, 2026. The funding values the company at about $1.4 trillion before the new money is counted. Like a short loan to cover costs before a big step, it would support OpenAI until a planned sale of shares to the public.
